Core set, rep, and weight logging
LIFTL
Included on Free; Quick Start or saved workouts
Hevy
Included on Free; empty workouts or routines
Both cover the core job well.
LIFTL vs Hevy
Both apps can log a serious lifting session, but LIFTL is not trying to reproduce Hevy. It strips away the social layer, keeps the gym-floor experience focused, and invests its depth in workload, recovery, training context, and analysis.
Comparison and official sources reviewed
Disclosure: LIFTL published this comparison.
LIFTL facts come from the current implementation and product documentation. Hevy facts come from the official Hevy website and Help Centre.* “Not verified” means we did not find the feature in the reviewed official material—not that Hevy definitively lacks it.
Why LIFTL exists
“I tried Hevy and Strong myself. They are capable apps, but neither matched how I wanted to train: fast and quiet during the workout, then much deeper when I wanted to study the history. I wasn't trying to recreate either one. I built LIFTL because I wanted a different kind of lifting log.”

LIFTL
Optional completed-workout write on iPhone and Android
Hevy
Official documentation supports Apple Health and Health Connect integrations
Both support the major platform health stores.
LIFTL
Strength curves, overload, volume, workload ratio, muscle recency, rep ranges, balance, cardio, isometrics, and PR history
Hevy
Exercise charts, PRs, estimated 1RM, muscle distribution, frequency, consistency, and reports
LIFTL is purpose-built for lifters who prioritize workload, recovery, recency, and longer-range analysis.
LIFTL
Opt-in LIFTLyzer notes based on rule-driven analysis of recent training
Hevy
No equivalent verified in the official sources reviewed for this page
LIFTL has the verified feature; Hevy status remains unverified, not asserted absent.
LIFTL

Hevy
Web logging, routine planning, exercise progress, and social activity
LIFTL keeps fast workout entry in the native app and uses the larger screen for deep analysis, history review, imports, exports, and account controls.
LIFTL
Pro import from supported Hevy or Strong CSV files
Hevy
Official direct import supports Strong CSV; one import documented
LIFTL directly supports migration from Hevy; Hevy directly supports Strong.

Where LIFTL is deliberately different
LIFTL does not ask you to post the workout, follow anyone, protect a streak, or compare a feed. Its paid value is longer-range context: workload ratio, muscle-training recency, strength curves, desktop analysis, and LIFTLyzer suggestions built from your own history.

Moving from Hevy
LIFTL Pro accepts supported Hevy CSV strength-workout data. The portal previews sessions, sets, exercise mappings, units, and warnings before writing anything.
The current migration is not lossless: notes, cardio-only rows, superset grouping, and original PR flags are not preserved. Duplicate prevention also blocks overlapping retries after an import commits.
Review the exact import coverageMethodology
Feature claims were reviewed on July 21, 2026. LIFTL behavior was checked against current code and product pages. Hevy behavior was checked only against Hevy-controlled sources.* Store prices, promotions, and rapidly changing limits should be rechecked in the live purchase screen.
LIFTL vs Hevy FAQ
LIFTL is deliberately better suited to self-programmed lifters who want a focused, non-social logger with workload, recovery, LIFTLyzer, and analysis-focused desktop tools. Hevy takes a broader, community-centered approach. The right choice depends on which philosophy matches how you train.
LIFTL. It has no social feed, follower system, likes, comments, or discovery feed. Users can still choose to share a PR or milestone card from the Records page. Hevy intentionally makes community and sharing one of its three product pillars.
Hevy puts complete workout entry on Apple Watch and Wear OS, including documented offline use. LIFTL intentionally treats the watch as a live companion: heart rate, calories, elapsed time, workout controls, and rest timing stay on the wrist while set, rep, and weight entry remains on the larger phone interface.
The emphasis differs. Hevy documents exercise charts, PRs, estimated 1RM, muscle distribution, training frequency, consistency, and reports. LIFTL emphasizes strength curves, progressive overload, workload ratio, muscle-training recency, rep-range and balance views, cardio and isometric analytics, and opt-in LIFTLyzer suggestions. The better set depends on what you want to study.
Yes. LIFTL Pro can import supported strength-workout data from a Hevy CSV. Exercise mapping and preview happen before commit. Notes, Hevy cardio-only rows, superset grouping, and original PR flags are not currently preserved.
